Hi Kristy, I never went deeply into the Spanish Civil War with my students. There were other things that I preferred teaching. My friends in Spain don’t like talking about it. But we do need to teach about history so we don’t make the same mistakes, right? One movie that may interest you, if you haven’t already seen it is “Ay, Carmela”, with one of my fave Spanish actresses, Carmen Maura (Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios, Volver). The best to you as you finish up the school year!
