About Kristy
Kristy Placido is an accomplished educator, teacher trainer, keynote speaker, and author with over 25 years of experience teaching high school Spanish. Kristy has presented at numerous national, state, and regional conferences and is a widely recognized author of readers, teacher’s guides, ancillary materials, and curricula across proficiency levels. In 2021, she was honored as the Michigan World Language Association High School Teacher of the Year. She serves as the 2027 Chair of the CCLT (Comprehension-Based Communicative Language Teaching) ACTFL Special Interest Group.
